Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The ITO Sourcing Specialist will assure that all customer proposals contain accurate costs and cycles for sourced goods and services. This role is an integral part of the ITO process, and will support the Supply Chain ITO Leader, operations management, and manufacturing finance, using inputs received from suppliers and sourcing commodity leaders. The ITO Sourcing specialist will:
* Own the sourcing portion of customer proposals.
* For each bid, document preferred and alternate supplier selections for all purchased items.
* Highlight key issues and significant risks for all bids to sourcing leadership and participate in developing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
* Assure sourcing elements of proposals are consistent with business strategy.
* Represent sourcing during senior management reviews of proposals.
* Interface with Technology team to understand, clarify, and communicate design issues.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in technology or business.
* Familiarity with hydraulic turbine design.* Good understanding of international sourcing.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
* 5 years of experience in sourcing, services, manufacturing or operations.
* Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.* Strong project management skills.
* Ability to influence at all levels of the organization. * Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
* Fluent in English.
